Before she left we sat and hugged and talked about how we choose each other. We said something like this to each other: “I’m leaving now, but I choose you and I love you.”
This trusting reassurance is critical for relationships to flourish, especially poly relationships. That “I’m leaving but I still love you. I still choose you.” This little thing can make a huge difference. Connecting with each bother before we leave is important, especially in the beginning as trust is being developed.
